When should I book my session?  

For Maternity, it’s best to schedule your session around 30-35 weeks.  We want Mama to have a nice, big bump, but not so close to your actual due date that we risk missing our opportunity.  For Fresh 48/Newborn, most parents book their photographer during the second trimester.  The earlier, the better!

How long is a session?  

Typically, sessions last 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Newborn sessions can run a bit longer, anywhere from 1-2.5 hours, as it’s likely we will have to break for nursing/feeding breaks and diaper changes. 

How do you deliver the photos?  

You will receive an online gallery of your professionally edited photographs.  You will be able to easily download and share your images at no additional cost.

How old should my baby be for a newborn session?  

I like to schedule newborn sessions during the first 10 days to 2 weeks of your baby’s life.

Where will my session take place?  

Newborn sessions will take place in your home, mostly in your baby’s nursery.  However, we are not limited to the nursery… many times we shoot in the master bedroom, living room and even outside of your home.  Fresh 48 sessions will be held at your birthing location.  Outdoor maternity and family sessions take place at the location you choose.  Often times, my clients give me a feel for what they are looking for in a location and I'm able to give suggestions.

What is lifestyle photography? 

Lifestyle photography is considered “the art of the everyday.”  Your session is gently guided and I aim to capture your family in a manner that shows your connection in an artistic way.  

What happens if we run into inclement weather?  

If we have an upcoming outdoor session, I am constantly checking the weather.  I will be in touch with you within 48 hours of your scheduled session if I think it’s best we reschedule.

What do we wear?!  

Personally, I love the look of soft, neutral colors and think they photograph best.  I love when clients mix patterns and fabrics, while keeping them in the same soft color scheme.  Upon booking, my clients receive a detailed session guide which includes outfit suggestions.
